Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Boone County Fiscal Court now hiring for a full time Golf Course Assistant Grounds Superintendent.

Assists in planning, supervising the maintenance of greens, tees and fairways; instructs and supervises employees on proper golf course maintenance procedures, equipment operations and safety; supervises pesticide applications and operates pesticide application equipment.

Working knowledge of the maintenance of golf course tees, fairways, greens, seeding and maintenance practices for golf course turf planting, caring for plants, proper use of various fertilizers.  Ability to schedule and supervise maintenance work; willing to obtain necessary state pesticide application license within one year of hire date.  Two – four year university education with a degree in turf management or related field preferred; minimum 2 years experience in golf course or related field.  The salary range for this position is $39,603 – $51,688.
