On Thursday, January 20, 2011 at approximately 10:00 a.m. a Petersburg, Kentucky man was arrested for the theft of a victim’s wallet from her car while she was inside the Little Red School House located at 2092 Medical Arts Drive in Hebron, Kentucky.
Witnesses to the theft provided dispatch a good description of the man they saw steal the woman’s wallet from her parked car. Deputies in the area immediately began looking for an older model black Honda Civic driven by a white male wearing a black hoodie.
Deputy Roger Nelms spotted the car and stopped it at North Bend Road and KY-18. Travis Bush, 21 of the 2800 block of First Street in Petersburg, was taken back to the scene where he was identified by the witnesses. There Bush admitted to the theft, surrendered the cash and told deputies where he threw two wallets out of his car. An admitted heroin abuser, Bush was charged with two counts of Receiving stolen property and lodged in the Boone County Detention Center in lieu of a $2,500 bond where he remains.
